I am going to move my hive to an upstairs deck of the house over the pool concrete surface.

I moved the box about ten feet from the left to where it is now. Friday I'm gonna move it to the stand under the deck that I have marked in red. Then up to the deck in a few more days. That is a good 10 feet high and 25 feet from the nearest grass area. Its not a whole lot of ground that we need to spray. Chinch bugs just killing it all.
I believe we are using spectracide. The bees DO NOT eat in my yard as far as I have ever seen (its all ficas and an avocado tree). They take off and head across the water we live on or go up and over the back of the house. I have read that you want to spay if you must in the late evening when the bees are headed in and wind is low.
If this will work out then in a month or 3 we will need to tent the house for termites. At that point the grass should be good and I will move the bees out to the edge of our dock about 50 feet away from the house.
Anybody have any thoughts or a definite dead bee situation? My hive is growing like crazy since I got it last month and I don't want to kill it.
Or should I move it to the roof above the deck. I would rather not and it is really hot up there but if it means not killing the bees than I will.

If it were me I would just wait until night and then close the hive completely and cover with a good tarp. I don't think a total move is actually warranted. Wait a day after the spraying and open them back up.

Why not just move them a few miles away wile you do all the spraying and the tent thing and then bring them back.
I'm with Scott and Irwin, either tarp them or moving them miles away. The short moves you are making is going to lead to a lot of stress and disoriented bees
The option to move miles away is not there The are pretty far from the grass currently so I will tarp them. I have the means to do that without suffocating them or overheating by using thick canvas dropcloths..
I can actually tarp over the hive and leave at least a 2 foot bubble around the whole thing right down to the ground so they may not get too annoyed.
Heres my plan unless warned otherwise.
In the evening when the bees are in Tarp it, spray, leave tarp overnight then remove before daybreak and let them run their lives.
I wish I would have asked first or I would have just tarped them where they were. I got kind of went into panic mode when I read that bees carry poisons into the hive and it kills lots of them if not all. They are going back to their little spot when all is done.

Odd. In my whole life I've never HAD to spray my lawn, nor HAVE I sprayed my lawn, nor WILL I ever spray my lawn...
