gently down the stream. The one that flooded this week, overrode its banks and washed away my Kenyan Top Bar Hive that was closest to the stream. The other hives were on higher ground.
A loss, but not tragic. The colony was weak and had survived a horrendous dominoed comb collapse this summer.
So I wonder if it floated for a while?
Sorry to hear you lost a hive. Maybe they were able to drop anchor downstream?
