I have several 5 gal. buckets of crystalized honey, can anyone who has dealt with this problem give me an idea on the amount of time/tempreture of heat needed to liquify it.
I have a old freezer chest, a thermostat, and a couple of screw in 110 v. heat coils, now that's telling my age.
If it was summer I could put it in the car with the windows up parked in the sun for a few days. alas !

I have an upright freezer that I used, just a 70 watt bulb, a little fan, and a timer. A few days at ~100F to 110 will take care of the problem.
With the freezer off, of course... 8-)
Once it is clear, if you can you might want to bottle it all up, then keep the bottles in the freezer (with it on cold!) and then keep them frozen till you need them, this will keep them clear indefinately.

I set the container on top of the cast iron radiator in my house until it is liquefied. A gallon takes about 24 hrs.
I have about 5 gallons of the same here and am waiting for a hot day to melt it. Its in a white bucket on the concrete but not hot enough to work yet. I might paint the bucket black because I want to get this honey into pots to give to people. Black is usually 10 degrees hotter than white.
