I see that different bee keepers have different "bee levels" (new, field, house, galactic, super etc) next to their name. What gives a member a certain level (time on the site, years of experience, numbers of Beemaster.com comments etc). Just wondering, thanks.
Jester
it's usually just related to how many posts a member has.
I thought you were talking about some semi-secret organization of beekeepers.

That's what I thought, too! Maybe we should start something ... maybe use the Mason bee as a symbol? :-D

Robo: couldn't open your picture (due to our system's filters), but I'm anxious to check it out when I get home!
As long as we don't have to go on a secret giant wasp assassination foray in order to become full members . . . and is there a handshake?
love,
ziffa
Gee, I thought it had to do with appearance or looks.
Regards,

No secret handshake, but we do have to wiggle our backsides while pointing out the direction of the nearest bar.... Our version of the waggle dance! :bee: :bee: :bee: :bee:
I'm down, secret handshake, secret meetings, some kinda cool pin.
Count me in!
"Your Beta Epsilon Epsilon name is Flounder.... :-D

Cheers for (almost) being the first!
I was also hoping to find some clandestine order...sigh.
seems like cindy may be the first galactic bee.....more power to you!
How about a Secret Handshake, a Secret Decoder Ring, and a square flat-topped white building with one door, to meet in on sunny days.
And after awhile our own movie, 'The Langstroth Code'

If history serves, Brother, there will be at least a dozen clandestine orders before the first installation of officers is completed! They'll probably be French...... LOL!!!

With an average of 8.5 posts per day, I don't think you have WAY too much time on your hands. I've seen on other forums members who had 20-30 posts per day on average. Now those people really need a life . . . or maybe they have a life, and it's the forum. Haha.
Grand poo bah bee!
that's an aspiration
Wi there be mead at the post-meeting bee bar?
It wouldn't be a meeting if there wasn't.
