Lock her down JP... Ida's coming...

   Actually I had forgotten that I removed the cinder bricks from the top of the hives after the last inspection so this is a good reminder to check the hives before bad wx moves in. We are in the path after the right hook Ida is supposed to make...

didnt even know there was a storm out there until watching the saints game the announcers made reference to it. Switched to the weather channel sure nuf theres a storm out there. Am see in the clouds and rain from it today

Just buttoned down the hives... wind has already picked up here and I''m 35 miles from the gulf...

  Really weird.... rain is already falling and I there are about 10 bees still suckin' water from the bird bath. Go figure.... animals are supposed to know a storms coming!

Mine knew Ike was comin' last year!!!  They tanked up on water so hard I couldn't get all the ornaments in around my pond until nearly dark because they were covered in bees!
