Hi guys! I am in Saluda County and noticed we have FIVE folks here from my state! That's enough for a serious discussion about south carolina specific issues (if there are any).
So sound off! Where are you guys?

Just joined, in Abbeville County, and seeking an experienced beekeeper in my neighborhood, as I am a newbie.
Been away form the computer for a few days. I am over here in Lowrys, just in the middle of York, Chester, and Union. Good to see more SC beeks here.
This newbie sure would like to visit and talk with an experienced bee person close, anyone from Abbeville County, Greeenwood, or Anderson?

Lakeland Beekeepers association mets in Greenwood, usually @ the Tennis complex building @ the Civic Center on Reynolds Ave. Sorry I can't remember the night (I belong to two clubs and swing shifts, usually can't remember what day of the week it is :-D) but they meet once a month. Contact Clemson Extension agency in McCormick (Wallace Woods) and they can give you the info. Also the President of Lakeland Beekeepers is Donna Boozer from Greenwood.
[email protected]They are a growing club with a beginner course, I think running now.
Dug up an old news letter. I believe they meet second Tuesday of the month.
Also SC and NC have a joint beekeepers meeting in Rock Hill SC March 6-7. Advance registration is by Feb 17. After Feb 17 a $15 late fee is applied.
Tentative Speakers will include:
David Tarpy NC State
Mike Hood Clemson University
Jerry Hayes Florida State Apiarist
Kim Flottom Editor of Bee Culture
Bart Smith Beltsville LAb
And others.
Anyone else plan on attending?
