Title: ...just an observation
Post by: dbzog on December 22, 2009, 03:17:48 PM
After 20" of snow this past weekend, I went to my hives today to snap some pics.  ...Found some dead bees out front but also found one on a top cover laying dead in the snow... must have decided with yesterday's sun, it was ok to fly but never quite made it back.

My boyfriend is at home today, it's finally sunny and 57 degrees here too, and in the middle of my HORRIBLE day at work he sent me a picture of my hive - with busy bees buzzing around the entrance!!! YAY!!

I've been so worried about them cuz it's been wet and cold, and all of the sad stories posted, but it looks like they're ok - so far!  HOORAY!!

I really needed that smile! :-D

Course, now I'm back to worrying about them . . .
lol
love,

Dead bees in the snow are a sign of life in the hive.
