How do you make Honey Cough Drops? :bee: :bee: :bee:
Looked on Google and found dozens of recipes that ha honey in them but not one using honey as the primary ingredient.
I don't know, I do know, however, that it is very difficult to get honey up to the hard-crack stage (candy-making jingo, not drug references :-D) without badly scorching it, whereas sugar and corn syrup is fine at that temp. That would be for drop similar to a hall's cough drop, hard candy.
Perhaps there is a microwave recipe similar to a honey peanut brittle recipe? There also may be a "lozenge" recipe which won't be hard and crunch but softer/chewy.
My wife was asking the same thing recently, haven't had time to mess around with it, though.
