Nella suggested maybe putting these questions in a poll format. Lets give it a try and see what we may find. I left it so you could answer multiple times because of multiple hives,hopefully you won't need this feature.

I lost 2 of 5 hives. I knew they were low on stores but didn't expect the long cold snap that keep me from feeding them. I think dry sugar on top of the frames would have saved them if I had done it early.

Of course with this spring being my introduction to beekeeping, I didn't have any yet.... :-D
