I just read a Yahoo News article by Live Science that says bees can recognize facial patterns. No wonder mine like me and chase my brother off.
Many of mine have been known to sit on the arm of my lawn chair and watch me as I sit near the hives and read, their little heads turning to watch every move I make. I think they're waiting to see if I brought any sweet tea out with me... 8-)
Remember, they only live 5 to 6 weeks in busy season. 4 to 5 of these weeks are spent inside the hive.
