Title: Topic time off?
Post by: leominsterbeeman on April 26, 2005, 06:25:57 PM
Mods -  The time of posts seems to be incorrect.  It is now approx 6:21PM EDT, and the time of this post will be approx 4:21 PM.

Is something set incorrectly?

Didn't know where else to post this......

maybe happen when we went to Daylight savings.   GMT never switches.  Right now the UK is GMT +1 and the East coast is GMT -4.

I don't know. I can't keep up with where or when I am at. Lost somewhere in central time zone... I think.

I changed the GMT to -4 here EST. Not sure about the odd minutes, there is NOTHING in config that you set an actual time, I assume it gets that off the net, but I really don't know.

If it takes it off a persons PC then anything could happen if their clocks are whacky - lets see what happens when I post this!! Thanks.

Just tried a few things, still off like 2:04 hours here. Beats me what's up with that?

hehe
you folks know bee's
I write code for a living
the "date" function you post a link to is what they use to make the text you see printed at the lower right corner of the screen, but it's reading the system time of the server wherever this bbs comes from. It looks like that machine doesn't know what time it is
There are servers all around that will give you the correct time, somebody made a booboo
It's not something you folks have done wrong, get in touch with the folks that host the bbs
