Title: Bees are gone
Post by: beeboy10 on March 08, 2010, 03:02:58 PM
I went out to check on my bees today and they are all gone. I was wondering if I should take the comb out and if I will be able to use this.

Protect it from wax moths and mice and yes, you can most definitely reuse it.

Knock out the old bees as as best as possible, make sure that it is dry and that the mice can't get to it.  Wax moths shouldn't be a problem till it warms up for a while.  You should be able to get bees in there before then.

I just clean my deadouts out as best as I can and leave them outside in the cold, I'll add more bees when it warms up.
