Title: Apiary security / Ross Conrad book
Post by: WhipCityBeeMan on March 13, 2010, 08:53:15 AM
I was reading in Conrad's Organic Beekeeping last night about a security system that would sense when your hives are being moved and then the device calls your phone.  I like this idea and would like to know who supplies this or other types of apiary security systems.

Any ideas?

Mann Lake sells some tracking devices that replace one frame in a hive... or at least it was in the catalog last year...

That camouflaged spider wire fishing line as a tripwire?  -  might lose your bees, but the person trying to abscond them and taking a tumble might get the lesson of his life :p
