Title: when to move queen cells to nucs?
Post by: bailey on March 17, 2010, 10:49:01 PM
i have a question for the folks who raise queens. ( grafting )

when is it safe to move queen cells.
or more important when is the time to not move them!
i grafted on the 9Th and had to move the cells to nucs today (17Th) due to work schedule.
i believe they are due to emerge on the 19Th or 20Th if my queen math is right  :?

just want opinions on this because of potential wing damage, i was very careful to not shake
or invert the cells.

made 9 nucs from the cells today with a bonus emergency queen cell in the cell starter that also went into a nuc . :-D

also saw my first grafted queen today ( fresh emerged ) she was from my first grafting attempt .was kinda proud !
