Title: my first swarm 2010!

woo hoo!  first swarm of the year for me :-D
got a call from a fella that i removed a swarm for 2 years ago today, he had another one for me today.
was going to get photos but the rain was just starting and i got in a hurry and forgot.
had em in the box beside me in the truck before i remembered i wanted photos. :-X

Isn't this a bit earlier than the past few years? Last year our swarms started in the 2nd week of April, it was a week later the year before that. But this is just my 3rd year, so what do I know. :D

My swarm season usually begins late February, early March.

I don't think ours is until after the last frost. Which will hopefully be this week. Then I'm thinking about inspecting and doing some splits with any queen cells I find.
