Generally speaking, when is the time of year to start putting supers on my hives? I live 20 miles east of Fort Smith Arkansas and this will be my first year to super the hives as I just installed my first hives last year. Thank's, Brad
I'm thinking late march early april but I'm new also. Here is an informative link I found and it might be helpful.

I put supers on when the dandelions begin to bloom.
Here in Mtn. View I super with drawn comb when the Redbud trees start to bloom, about this time of the year. If I have no drawn comb and have to use foundation I wait until the bees start to put fresh new wax on the combs in the brood nest. This is usually about the first week in May. It all depends on the weather, so it differs from year to year.
How long does the flow last in Arkansas and do we get a fall flow and when is it if we do? Thanks
