I lost one of my hives this winter and a 3lb package is coming in a few weeks. I cleaned out the hive this weekend; telltale signs of starvation (lots of bees headfirst in the comb). The hive was otherwise in very good condition (no signs of infection, no wax moths, clean as a whistle etc). So I have 2 supers (20 frames that are drawn out and even with some capped honey and pollen). Do I just put on one super at first or can I put both supers on with the new hive (remember everything is all drawn out)? Do I wait until I see that the first super is filled with eggs, larvae, more honey etc before putting on the second super? Should I be concerned about the left over pollen or will the new bees get rid of it if it is no good?

i would use your deeps and feed until your nectar flow starts and then pull the feed and add your supers and you should be fine
