Title: Splitting up small cell foundation for starter strips?
Post by: jpryce on March 31, 2010, 06:47:22 PM
Hi,
I'm getting my first package on Friday and I'm going small cell(5.1 to start with).  I have the wired small cell foundation( 8 1/2) for deeps.  Can I cut those into
3 strips for foundation starters in the frames even though the foundation is wired?  I'm planning on giving them 3 full frames of foundation in the middle and the rest of the frames just starter strips.

Thanks,
Julie

I would try to fine out what size foundation they came from.
Which will not matter if you start with 100% starter strips.
They will build what ever suits them.

Some one with experience in working with change overs will chime in, I'm sure. :)doak

I'd just use wood strips instead.  Cutting wired wax is difficult at best.  Wood is more permanent and just as effective.
