Title: laying worker combine
Post by: troutstalker2 on April 02, 2010, 09:02:27 AM

Is it alright to combine a hive with a laying worker with a stronger hive? I was just wondering if the bees with a laying worker may harm the queen in the queenright hive.

Thanks, David

They may well do her in. I would shake all the bees from the laying worker hive out on the ground, 10 feet in front of the good hive and let them take up with it. Then they will go in like a dog with his tail curled under. All will be fine then.
