Do you find that bees brood up when your feeding them and don't collect much nectar ?

I find feeding encourages early brood rearing when nothing is available. When nectar becomes readily available, they seem to not bother the syrup much.

I have noticed that my bees do not bother with syrup when a good flow is on also. I look at it this way. Would you rather have instant coffee or a fresh cup of starbucks?  :-D

I see,so if you want them to brood up early maybe for spring splits, feed them early, right ? Or if you want a big work force when the flow starts, feed them right ?

Only pollen patty feeding helps in early build up. Syrup feeding does not help.
If bees get food from nature, don't feed them. You just fill the brood area with sugar.
