Does anyone have a general form that covers the responsibilities of beekeeper and homeowner in regard to a cut out? i.e. a cutout means,.. removing bees and comb not rebuilding the structure? I hate to think this way but we do live in a litigious society. :-\
I made up a form for the homeowner to sign. It basically states that I will not be held responsible for repairing any damage and I will not be responsible if anyone gets stung. It also states I will do my best to minimize damage, and clean up the hive residue. I also added that they will not be liable if I get injured in any way. I haven't gone on any cutouts yet, so I don't know how well it will be received!
Thanks. You have some points that I didn't consider.
Hey, Beemaster, any way to get such release form on here in downloadable format? I'm sure lots of folks could use it!

When I meet a homeowner I feel I need a contract with, I walk away. I never use a contract. Haven't for 35 years. Of course, I don't take on all jobs either. If I'm not comfortable, I don't do the job.
Like DBoire said, I hate to think of someone coming at me later to make repairs. Sometimes people will say one thing, and then later on come after you. Its just a cover your a** thing. Better safe than sorry.
