Yeah, with two fine helpers like that, you had to succeed. Bet you couldn't have done so well by yourself.....  :)

You're right. :)  They didn't even suit up! Their big chicken Daddy did.

Ya, i tried hiving the bees for him at his house, but not a good idea. I should have known better. One more thing learned. I re-hived them Sunday at my house. He's all set now. And, ya, we'll take more. :)

:)  He's really wanting to become a beek. I could tell he was a learner and willing to read/study. So, fun to try and help him out. He'll be getting a package soon.

Ya, I wince a bit while vacuuming but, overall, amazing how they recover and how few are killed.

Hey, great job! Looks like they were building to swarm, any swarm cells? Appears a good time was had by all & good buy on the large smoker, you really need the large one for cut outs & working a large number of colonies. No such thing as too big of a smoker!

Your girls are little darlings btw, but of course you know that.

Great job! It is always more fun when the kids can get involved. You are passsing on an outstanding hobby and giving them respect for the honey bee at an early age. I only wish I had started that young.
Thanks for sharing the pictures with us!
