Hello Im in wheatridge here and welcome.  My girls have gotten a little testy as well this season. Not when we are in the yard but when I dive in deep I think they are still mad at me for collecting on my rent last year.   :-D  You will enjoy it here.

So you're going from one texas bee to another... good luck.  Both have bee good bees in the past, but in recent years they have gotten very hard to handle, in my experience...

Thanks MB. I was just reading your article on splitting a hot hive. If this doesn't help I'll try something else.

Hey Meech, welcome aboard.  I'm between SE Aurora and Parker.  I still don't know much about beekeeping, but what I have learned has come so much faster by taking advantage of the combined knowledge of the folks on this forum.

Mike, welcome to our forum, wonderful you found us.  Hope you get to a place where the bees are  nice and calm, plenty around like that.  Stick around, we love new members, this will be a place where you can meet new friends, tell stories, tales and experiences and just enjoy internet time.  I have only had one hot colony, it was a swarm that I had caught, and it was hot.  The aura surrounding this colony could be felt within about 10 feet of it, it was my first year beekeeping, thankin' my lucky stars above I had 4 other Carniolan to keep me grounded, I  might have given up beekeeping, smiling.  Have that most wonderful and awesome day, with great health.  Cindi
