My Friends,

I want to ask: how the queen knows drone cell and  she measure it?

Thanks
George

She uses her antennae to measure cells.

Actually, most of the literature I can find says she uses her front legs to measure it.  Of course it's obvious, if you watch she also uses her antennae, but I think that's to see that it's been properly prepared for laying.

Actually most of the literature I have read says the queen uses her front legs to measure the top of cell after she back in to it.
Workers measure the botton of cell using their front legs but go head firsts
