Title: Two deeps

Just want to know if I use two deeps as brood chamber and winter stores for the bees do I still need to leave a super of honey or will the two deeps hold them for the winter here NC thanx

My bees made it ok in one deep this winter. Two should be plenty if they are full. The hive should be difficult to lift up.

Both of my hives made it though the winter with 2 mediums.

Maybe I can just put a medium super on to go with the deep they should have the deep full in about a week or so

You could but yet frames won't be interchangeable but deep 10 frame boxes are pretty heavy.
