I have some drawn comb (alot of it actually) that is filled with syrup from my previous hives that died over the winter. When I installed my nuc a week ago, they were busting out of the super so I went ahead and put another on top filled with empty drawn comb. I went out today to swap out a few of those frames with the filled frames that I thawed and they've already started filling the empties. In fact, I could only find two frames I could swap out. My questions are: is syrup for building comb only? and if they don't need to build comb, should I even be feeding them?
And if not, what am I supposed to do with all of these frames of comb that are in my freezer? I know I could use them for the package bees that I am getting in a couple weeks. But I'm wondering if I could fill another super with them and place them on top of my nuc (that already consists of two boxes) just to let them clean them out? Or would that be too much room too fast?

They are filling up also with nectar since your honey flow is on. You might keep your syrup until this fall. By giving them drawn frames, you have helped them out greatly. And packages love frames with food and comb ready to go also.
