Title: Question about which clover
Post by: Animator on May 04, 2010, 06:28:34 PM
There are lots of different clovers.  Which one produces honey.  ?  I have a field near me that I can plant some clover seeds but don't know which one to plant !!

I hear sweet yellow is the best.  :-D

I get cheap white clover seed from the local feed store though (fraction of the price) and just throw it on any and all bare spots I find in our fields.  The deer love it, too!!

I believe white dutch clover is good, yellow sweet clover is good, and I also believe the purple prarie clover is.

I forgot about searching and found the answer to my question. I wasn't able to delete the message though. Thanks all for checking...
