Title: Turning hives southward.
Post by: ddbarnhizer on May 09, 2005, 02:34:16 PM
Question: Is it possible to rotate / turn a hive 45 degrees without causing orientation problems? After viewing my current set up over the last week, I've noticed that it seems to face too far east and gets shadowed as soon as the sun moves past noon. I'd like to turn it 30-45 degrees to the south, but not if it will cause orientation problems.

I'm sure you will be able to find it again.

That's what I do if I want to point them a new direction.  Go 45 degrees at a time.
