Title: How much to feed?
Post by: DM on May 10, 2010, 08:13:03 PM
I put a new package in a already drawn out deep. How long should I keep feeding them since they are not producing allot of wax to draw out the frames? I only see information on feeding new bees when they have been put into a new hive.

You could feed them as much or as little as you want. As long as there is nectar and pollen for them to collect, they can feed themselves.

I usually feed until they have some capped honey.  That's an indication they have put some in storage for a rainy day.  rainy days can be costly if they have no stores...
