Title: Hello from Southern Idaho
Post by: MagicValley on May 25, 2010, 02:18:11 PM
I just found this forum and it looks really great.

I got my first colony about a month ago and I know I'll need advice as things progress. Thank you in advance to everyone.

Cheers!
Greg

Hi Greg

I like your signature!! I know whenever I go up to visit my bees, I always say a little prayer of thanks to them. Then I accept whatever I get.

Have fun on the forum and good luck with the bees.

Annette

Thanks Annette.  Here are a couple photos of my setup.

Well, I was going to post a couple photos, but as a newbee, I'm not allowed.  Maybe I'll post photos in a few months.

Greg

Is that the hive stand you will use?? If so, you will need a latter almost from the very beginning.

I think I'll be able to manage.  I didn't want the field mice to get in it.

I talked to the farmer yesterday.  The huge empty field in back of my hive will have beans planted this year.  So there will be lots of flowers for my colony, and extra beans for the farmer.  Yay!
