Title: Honey Havest
Post by: asprince on May 26, 2010, 09:44:53 PM
I harvested 15+ gallons of honey from two hives. That was my best ever. We had a good spring flow. Any one else seeing a good flow?

Not that good up here, but I did have a sucky winter trying to keep the hives alive.

I got 3 supers from one hive. Approx. seven gallons. The lightest honey I have ever harvested in NC.

Same here, it was some of the lightest that I have ever seen. Same location as previous years but the honey is so different.

I'm going to keep my supers on until July 4.  Then, we'll celebrate the harvest!
