Hello everyone,
I've had it with the insanity of a stressful job!
We have 3 children living on Colorado and It's time to sell everything, leave all behind and Go!
What to do with my (6) hives? split them into nucs and sell them maybe.
I would like to take them with us but do not plan on buying a home just going to rent.
I'm wondering if any Colorado members could tell me what the beekeeping prospects are there.
If I could find a willing landowner I would consider moving them.
I don't know..... :?
Help Please........need input.
Thanks,
Paul
imo moving 6 hives would be a lot of trouble than there are worth i would sell the hives and move to colorado get aquainted with local farmers and start with new hives
I agree, if you sell your hives now, when you get settled down later, you can start over easy.

That sounds like good advice, I think I'll be able to sell them or give to someone in nucs, than I can bring as much of my supers and stands as I can.
I did some searching and found some Colorado members, maybe I'll message them to get some insight on beekeeping there.
Thanks for the response
Paul

When would be the best time to sell them do you think......in the spring?
I don't want to miss out on this summers honey harvest.
Best money for hives is in the spring or summer. And if you sell now, work in the price for a 5 gallon bucket of honey in the fall to take with you when you move.
paul, sent you a pm. I would be interested in one of your hives.

Put the hives in Craigslist and you will sell 'em quick. When you get to CO set up your hives again.
