Title: swarms with queens
Post by: Kathyp on June 05, 2010, 03:53:11 PM
i just am so happy.  those two swarms i picked up last week both have queens!  not only that, the attack bees were so nice today.  amazing what warmth and food will do.  i went to the hives prepared to combine that one with the other.  i was sure that the queen could not have survived the trauma of the weather and removal.  there she was.  fat and black and laying  :-D

thanks guys.  i know it's silly, but i have never missed a queen with a swarm.  sometimes they have been virgins, but i have always gotten them.  i thought this would be a blotch on my record.
