where is the best place to buy pure beeswax with out getting raped on price or shipping? I need 1 lbs just to coat some plastic frames  . i find a good price but then shipping is 2 to 3 times more than it should be  even dadant is 10.00 plus   for a one pound package, usps ships anywhere for 4.95

Find a local beekeeper!!  They're around.....

If you can you might want to pick up a few pounds, it isn't easy to get the right amount of beeswax onto the foundation and will probably be too thick on a few, eating through that wax pretty quickly.

If you're lucky enough to have a commercial honey extractor service by you they sell unrefined wax quite cheaply. I pay less than $2/lb here.

Contact local clubs. I'm sure they can direct you to someone nearby.

I picked up some nice wax just by placing a wanted add on the trading post section of Beemaster.
