The heck with lots of jars, I spot a grain scale. Dig that sucker out and use it as a hive stand. Then you can monitor the weight of the hive and see them grow........
@ Robo- I cannot find a singe thing wrong with that suggestion. That would also take care of the problem I have with the litte hive rotting.
Also, the L on my blackberry is busted and you have to really hold it down. Sorry for the spelling.
