$25.00 a quart? I want to sell my honey for that! Although I did just read something that said the sourwood is one of the most sought after kind of honey.
a gallon weighs about 12 lbs @ $5.00 per pound a quart should be 15.00 / if i did my math right, sourwood is suppost to be a little more expensive so 3 lbs for 25.00 is 8.00+ a pound, hope he gets it
You mean you don't get that much? I don't ask that much but would like to. As hard as I work on the bees, I try to get as much as possible. Your honey is only worth what somebody is willing to pay for it. And you are not going to get it unless you ask for it. I let my wife sell it, and it will all be gone in a month. She sold $69 worth last night to one gal and the gal buying brought her own jars. You can't beat that.
I am selling my blackberry honey for $11 Lb, so far folks have been lining up for it and not one complaint about the price.

It is the main flow here in WA, also the color (very light) and taste. We also have fireweed which is a medium amber color and knotweed which can be almost black.
Anything they get between the blackberry and fireweed is usually just labeled as wildflower.
