Someone gave me a flowering artichoke last week. I could not get over how beautiful this is.

Very interesting flower, I've always wondered what an artichoke flower looks like.

big thistle.  they are pretty.  humming bird seem to like them.  also bumble bees.

The women who gave this to me said she sees an occasional honeybee going inside and then they get stuck and can't get out.
