Title: Propolis trap on top entrance hive?
Post by: alfred on August 07, 2010, 04:56:29 PM
I just got a propolis trap and I am wondering how to use it with my Top Entrances? Any one got some ideas?

It look like if I just put it on it will trap them inside.
I was thinking of putting it on top under the cover but leave an openning for them to get in and out.
I am open to any suggestions. Hopefully some one here has already done this and has figured out a good method.
Thanks!

Obviously you need an exit... I haven't tried one with the top entrances, but I would think you could put it on 3/4" back from the front and prop the lid up to let the light in.

That is sort of how I was thinking. So I will go for it and report back.
