but how do people eat comb honey
Comb and all... :-D When I eat it the added comb + honey + butter really sticks to a biscuit :-P ... the comb also sticks in my teeth but that gives me something to do after breakfast. Somehow the comb is probably good for us also, I just don't know how.
God Bless... and pass the bacon
Pill
Some people chew the comb and swallow it - others chew the comb and then use it kinda like chewing gum for a bit (perfect for cleaning teeth) and then throw it out - others chew it and throw it out straight away.
I eat it and swallow it, no worries. I actually had comb honey as a kid before I ever knew it came without the comb.

That has got to be the stupidest question I have ever heard. I am just kidding, not a dumb question at all. My uncle asked me the same question.
I grab chinks of comb from the hive that I scrap off top bars and such and put in a jar to treat people with. I am usually out side when I eat it and I just chew and suck the honey out and then spit out the wax. Some people eat it. If im inside I spit the was into a napkin. I swear there is no better honey than right strait out of the hive, in the comb while its still warm. I dont know what it is but i swear everyone will say, "thats the best honey I have ever had".

Guess that was the way my parents liked it and was all that was ever in the house, never saw it any other way until accompanying my mom to the supermarket at about 10 years old....I saw it and thought, wow, look at that........ :-D
When I spread comb honey on bread, I've rarely noticed the wax. When I first started beeking, I made some sandwiches with it, and my brother didn't notice until I mentioned it. Then, never having had it, he almost started gagging from the thought of eating wax but then got over it pretty quick.
Keeps the honey from sliding off.
Bees wax is good for you! It containes sterol esters and stanols and can reduce LDL cholesterol. Can't remember where I read that but at the time that I read it I did a little checking and it looked accurate. I do know that plant sterol esters have been shown to reduce cholesterol and is an ingredient in many anti cholesterol over the counter supplements.
So eat your comb and bee healthy!
As long as you dont start pooping candles, you should be ok. wa ha ha ha
My 8 year old loves comb honey and chews it like chewing gum.
pooping candles would be easier than making them!
when my granddaughter was here, i put a slab of comb on a plate and gave her a fork. it was her dessert.
Here's an easy comb recipe for ya'll:
As an appetizer, lay out comb honey; a blue cheese (bleu, gorgonzola, etc) and good crackers. Spread small amount of comb honey on cracker, top with tad of cheese and enjoy. Ambrosia of the Gods. (and you don't notice the comb because of the crunchy cracker). YUM!!!!!
One bite at a time? :-D
I eat the comb and all! Yum Yum! :-D
When I was little, I remember the honey comb went right on top of the biscuit and you cut it into the biscuit with your fork are you ate. Like cutting a chunk of butter into your sorghum syrup if we could still eat that way today. Those were the days.

You're lucky. My wife won't let me eat anything good anymore.
I eat it very slowly and try to savor the taste... which is awesome. It's full of nuances that get lost when you extract...
