Title: What strain of bee is this?
Post by: OzBuzz on August 11, 2010, 12:43:32 AM
Hi Everybody,

I was wondering if you might be able to help me identify what strain of bee this is likely to be? I obtained a small log with a tiny hive in it a few weeks ago and i was able to save the Queen and introduce her in to a nucleus hive... i'm just interested as i want to try and get a range of Queens and assess their capacities under my conditions... Cordovan, Ligurian etc

Best bet is "mutts"...nothing wrong with that though, most mutts are great producers!
