Title: Tiny External Colony Part Two & Shenanigans
Post by: JP on August 14, 2010, 02:16:21 AM
Yesterday we were rained out but still managed to remove that tiny external colony as we needed that queen to give to the River Ridge bees. That queen we unfortunately didn't get.

We also looked at a huge hive that's in a tomb and I was called to remove another speaker box full of bees. Schawee took the speaker box home with him.

We did other stuff as well as stuffing our faces with shrimp poboys.

Schawee ate most all of my onion rings and I saw the queen first, no matter what he tells ya!  ;)

That tiny hive looked smaller now than it did a week ago.

erwin, the sound you were hearing is an insect called a cicada or locust.they get so loud that it hard to hear what a person next to you is saying. thats the reason jp found the queen first because he didn't hear me telling him that i saw the queen :-D   ...schawee

You two make me laugh, but I'd fight you both for onion rings.

JP...Why keep the queen in that cage? Will she fly the coop without it?

Liz, yes, queens will fly the coop sometimes.

Irwin, I didn't hear Schawee say he saw the queen until after I showed her to him!  :-D

Yes its cicada time in south east, Louisiana!

I love their cadence by the way, drives some folks nuts, not me.
