Title: Storing a Queen in her mailing cage for a few days-what to do?

Hey everybody, I got a queen today but it will be a day or two before I put her in a hive.... How should I store her?

I kept mine for 2 days in the utility room in a bowl that was set in a larger bowl of water to keep the ants out.  Someone here lost several queens to ants when they set them on a shelf in their garage.

I used an eyedropper and dropped some sugar water on the screen so the nurse bees in her cage could feed her - I think a couple of times a days.  She did fine.

one drop of water (no need for sugar as there is candy) a day.  A cool dark quiet place is preferable (a closet in an air conditioned house is good or the basement).
