Title: the girls are off the picket line
Post by: slacker361 on September 03, 2010, 09:19:19 PM
you may have read my post of a week ago.

here it is (http://forum.beemaster.com/index.php/topic,29688.msg234873.html#msg234873)

where I had no honey at all. Last night I made up some 2:1 sugar and went down to the hive today to put it in a feeder for the bees. Before I did I thought I had better check the hive, so I looked in the medium honey super, and surprise surprise, 5 of the 10 frames were full of honey, not capped. so I thought I better check the two deeps, full of honey except for a couple of frames of brood.

today we had a rain storm the first in about 10 days or longer. the golden rod is just now popping like crazy, so I still might be able to get a little honey this fall after all..

Question:  with the medium supper half full of honey, think I should add another medium frame super to the hive?

No rain here either, but when I went to add sugar yesterday, they were bringing in pollen like mad. I just hope it's not corn pollen (again).
