Title: salut de la Réunion

hello  I am a belgian orthopaedic surgeon an I live in Reunion Island (Indian Ocean)
I own one hive and work with my step father who owns 6 by himself we drive also 4 more hives from a friend

We drive "Bourbon" hives which are shallow Langsthroth (21 cm / 8"26)
and I 'm looking for some tropical beekeeping advices

Bienvenue.  We have some tropical people, but I guess some of the nectar plants will be different.

So Reunion Island is French and part of the EU?  What is beekeeping like there?
