I have had it set a 9 day now yesterday I opened it and saw lots of good things (see my other post) It looked so good and I saw no activity in the cone or other blocked whole I ripped the top whole open thinking they would
Be able to rob it out to Help the new Home
I just walked over and there is all kinds of Bees around New Hive box so I climb up and look in the hole in the Picture and I see a 1000 bees calmly crawling around so Many that I couldn't see if some were on comb or just tree
The picture is of the part I opened Do you think I should close it or wait and see if those are my bees in there taking there old Furniture and food
I wanted to try and get 2 hives from the tree but I think they swarmed before the trapout and the rest I all ready got but this sight confused me
Hope they don't move back ?
The trapout Cone is Below this Opening maybe 10 inchs
Thanks

9 days is not long enough for the trap out to run it's full course. It takes 21 days for worker brood to emerge after the egg is laid. What you're seeing is most likely newly emerged worker brood-I.E. nurse bees. Close it back up if you want to trap them as well.
Here in FL you may not get the chance to have your trapped bees rob out the tree before the SHB invade and the remnants of the tree colony abscond, but there is always a chance. I leave the cone on for at least 4 weeks and when done seal the opening and feed the trap.

Also what would happen If I put Just Comb and a Queen Caged or Just a Queen cell in the New Trap out
I'm calling it New meaning If I remove what I have all ready which seems to be A lot
Thanks
