Title: Mite count near zero in all hives
Post by: Patrick on September 27, 2010, 12:35:01 PM
Hi,
Wondering if anyone else has seen this before. I only have a few hives so I do not have a good cross section, so to speak. Usually by now my hives are very heavy with mites counting 100+ on the sticky board. This year I have only counted one mite on all my hives. I wish I knew what was going on. I like not having mites.

Cheers,
Patrick

Wow!  That's great!  Some surprises are good, aren't they?

How have you been treating for mites and how have you been testing for them?

Sounds like what ever method you are using is working well or you have some nice healthy bees. ;)
