Title: Doing a Trap out and Vacuum Out need input
Post by: Tommyt on October 16, 2010, 12:55:38 AM
Tomorrow I have a trap out in a soffit
I'm thinking of taking my Vacuum and sucking up
a couple pounds of bees
the reason
I have a 3 frame Nuc and built a TBH that will fit in place
of the top that is now on it
My thoughts and welcome yours ?
I will set the TBH on the Nuc and Place the Vacuumed bees
on the TBH so when the exit my containment box they
will have to go through the TBH down through the Nuc and out the Front Door
Am I asking for trouble or is there a Better way
I am wanting the mini KTBH so I can move it later to my
4 foot KTBH that is vacant at the moment
Thanks
Tom

So you are talking about vacing the bees out of the little hole entrance?   I would not do it.   Just trap them.
