Title: Titusville cut out part 1
Post by: hardwood on October 26, 2010, 08:31:34 PM
OK, I'm finally getting to where I can edit some of my backlog of videos.

This was a double cut out in Titusville FL. The pissy bees were coming from the second colony which we removed but did not keep alive...never seen bees that mean. The first ones that you see here are doing great and are as gentle as lambs.

You had the bees everywhere.  Glad you could find the queen.   The second hive, did you just bag them up?

Nice job! I love watching you two work together. For a young hive that was a lot of bees, must have been a big swarm and good genes.

Always nice when you can take the veil off.

Thanks for the nod JP getting that from "The King" just gives me a warm fuzzy :)

Allen, we sucked up the mean bees with a bee vac and took them away before taking care of the little darlings  Didn't want to create any PR issues with the owner. I normally would have just requeened but they were just too hot and I didn't want the drones flying as were still having swarms here.

Scott, beauty, as I have more time to spend on our forum, I have so many videos that you bee catchers have on here, for us to peruse  8-) .  That is a wonderful thing and I can't wait.  I loved how you took off your veil, whence you discovered the temperament of the colony.  Is that your Wife with you?  Nice looking gal (ooops, hope that was a woman anyways).  I made the mistake the other night of watching Karate Kid and someone's movie star child, which gender is male, I thought was a girl.  My Husband was shocked at my saying this, but I seriously thought this young lad was a girl, had long hair in dreadlocks and was very feminine looking, oops, my bad, off topic.  I also loved your jacket and veil, I like that openess of the veil all around.  My bee suit veil is the same as the gal in the video, with the material on the back, I don't like it.  My other veil that fits over the hat is open all around and I love it, keeps me cool in the hot sun.  Keep up the good work, you are providing enjoyment for forum people and that is surely a beautiful thing.  I think I could do a cutout after watching you and JP and others doing their things, smiling.  Have that beautiful day, full of love, sunshine, happiness and health.  Cindi

This was really nice Scott and Peggy. I think it is amazing the bees calmed down enough for you guys to remove your veils. You are both fearless beekeepers and in league with the mighty king of swarms (guess who?)

Very peaceful vibration between you both when you are working together. Nice for a husband and wife to share in this work.
Thanks for sharing this. Always an inspiration to see how this is done and perhaps I can do the same one day.

Sincerely
Annette
