The order is for 250 to 325, 6oz jars of my honey, for a wedding. My question is what should I put on the label for the jars. should I put Congratulations to the couple's (name) from Chicago's Sweet Stuff or just leave Chicago's Sweet Stuff of it.
Thanks in advance Norm
That's great news!! Just be sure what ever is on the label it is a way to reach you for future orders.
I thought honey for a wedding will be labeled for the bride and groom.
Congrats. You might want to ask them. Wedding planners are twitchy folks sometimes.

That's going to be on a card attached to the Jar.

Thanks Tommyt you gave me a couple more idea's to run with.
I don't know about Illinois, but NC law requires
1..The words "pure honey"
2.. Your contact info
3.. The net weight
Thanks iddee, I am checking into the laws, the only problem is that its for a private party and the rules here in IL change a little.
Condolences from
Chicago's sweet stuff

Food laws are a bit different, and Chicago food laws get even tighter. Mofo's require a whole separate certification for them since state safe-serve isn't good enough, lol. Tread carefully, you might want to contact the Chicago honey co-op to see how they handle it.
Anywho, you should totally put your name on the tags, and the words raw honey. People might not get what the little jars are if they aren't marked honey. And you should let people know who you are so if they want more of your sweet stuff, they know where to find you.
MoFo's? :-D
Actually Beesneeds, I have read the laws and this is one of those gray areas. As far as the Raw Honey goes, that must appear on the Label, no if ands, or buts about it. My question is, should I put my company on the label. The only reason I call it a company, is because I had to get a business lic. from the state and city.

Ah, sorry if I misunderstood and babbled about food law then :)
But yeah, you should absolutely put your name on there!
