I am a wanabee keeper from Washington, I have wanted to keep bees for about 40 years but have never got off my hind end and got on with it,  I live in Westport WA and am wondering about a club in this area.

Hello Eric and welcome to the forum!!!  I'm also from Washington, out in Buckley, east of Puyallup.  I'm not sure of clubs in your area, I'd check the Washington State Beekeeper's Association's website (www.wasba.org (http://www.wasba.org)) and see if there are any listings.
I'm a member of the Pierce County Beekeepers Association and you're welcome to come to our meetings every 1st Monday, but from Westport that's quite the journey.  :-)

Again welcome to the forum and this awesome, addicting hobby!!!!

Eric, welcome to our forum, you will be a beekeeper one day.  Good you want to check out a local beekeepers club.  Once you begin to learn about the honeybee, you will find how deeply you will want to learn more, stick around, we love new members, have that great and most awesome day, of love, health and friendship.
